There are a number of regular services held throughout the week in the chapel of Royal Holloway, led by the Choir of Royal Holloway. The Chapel is non-denominational and there are a variety of services and events held including Choral Evensong from the 1662 prayerbook, Compline and Catholic masses, with music usually playing a central role. Royal Holloway is also the only university that still maintains a tradition of sung morning services.

The Choir of Royal Holloway regularly sings services in churches and cathedrals all over London and the UK, as well as abroad. Most notable visits include St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Ely Cathedral, Winchester Cathedral, Worcester Cathedral, Salisbury Cathedral, Grace Cathedral (San Fransisco), St Thomas's 5th Avenue (New York), St John the Divine (New York) and Washington Cathedral (Washington DC).

Choir of Royal Holloway Alumni Reunion 2019

Saturday 9 November 2019

Save the date for a reunion of former members of Royal Holloway's Chapel Choir to mark the 80th birthday of the choir's former director, Professor Lionel Pike. This will offer the opportunity to catch up with one another, as well as rehearse and perform some much-loved music, followed by a reception in the Picture Gallery.

2pm – Gather in the Picture Gallery, with tours of the campus.
3pm – Rehearsal in the Chapel
4pm – Tea in the Picture Gallery
5pm – Choral Evensong*
6pm – Drinks reception
