Free concerts in the College Chapel every Wednesday 1.15-1.45pm during term.

Come and relax in the beautiful setting of Royal Holloway Chapel. Each week there is a themed programme featuring a wide variety of music from the Choir of Royal Holloway alongside visiting instrumentalists, instrumental and vocal solos.

Christmas Extravaganza

The Choir of Royal Holloway’s annual Christmas concert will this year feature highlights from Handel’s famous Messiah alongside traditional favourites. Alongside the acclaimed Bristol Ensemble and their Director Rupert Gough, the Choir features on a major new Christmas album on the Decca Classics label and the concert will present an opportunity to hear some of this beautiful music from Norwegian composer, Ola Gjeilo.

Tickets are available through this website, with concessions for Senior Citizens and College Staff. Tickets purchased will be held on the door on the evening of the concert. Students wishing to attend this concert should contact the Choral Music Administrator for further information.

Christmas Carol Concert

The Choir of Royal Holloway join Alastair McGowan for a Concert of Christmas Carols in the Church of St. Mary next to Raymond Blanc's famous establishment. Tickets are only available for the whole evening, including dinner.

Handel's Messiah

The Bristol Ensemble and the Choir of Royal Holloway return to St George’s in another collaboration as they bring to life Handel’s masterpiece, Messiah, in a semi-staged performance. Talented young soloists drawn from the choir perform the work’s arias from positions around the hall, bringing a freshness and vitality to this astonishing and compelling work. Following on from the success of their 2017 debut performance together at St John’s Smith Square, conductors Rebecca Miller and Rupert Gough with the Royal Holloway Chamber Orchestra and Chapel Choir unite once again with the London Mozart Players for a showcase including, amongst other highlights, Beethoven’s masterpiece 5th Symphony, Vaughan William’s Serenade to Music and a new work from Dubai-based composer, Joanna Marsh to commemorate the centenary of the Representation of the People Act.
